Green Woodworking Woodworking Tools Keep It Cleaner Projects To Try Carving Baltimore Stool Ivory Saw end grain straight across and keep it clean. Marking is done with an indelible or artist's drafting pencil. I prefer a drafting pencil (Derwent, Drafting Pencil, Ivory Black, No. 67) because its mark is easy to read on both wet and waxed wood pins.

Green Woodworking Tools Green wood is soft, easily worked, and if correctly understood and executed can produce some of the strongest furniture. Many green woodworkers eschew power entirely, preferring the altogether more wholesome experience of the axe, froe, pole lathe and drawknives to harness the natural beauty and strength of the wood. The subtitle of this book Green Woodworking - "A Hands-On Approach" - points to a highly important aspect of this book. This is no mere treatise on working with green wood. Rather, it's both an introductory guide to key green woodworking methods and a set of practical projects to get you started on the road to the satisfaction of completed projects.

In a cottage in a wood by Cass Green is the first book I've read by this author and I will try her again. This book started slowly which at some point I was going to add to the dnf pile, but it picked up just over half way through, I'm glad I stuck with it/5.
